Why that is a hopeless country

Now I know why Italy is a country in decline.
Besides mafia, corruption, nepotism and castes there's another thing, which is bringing us down. And this one really belongs to ALL Italians. It's the fascination for the power. Every single person with a tiny bit of power tends to put oneself to a higher level and to consider the others as subordinated. It doesn't matter how uninfluent they are on a bigger scale, if one people can somehow show that he's the one with the power, be sure that he will make you know, in someway. So, you're the one who has to ask, kindly ask, always, even when it's you offering something to them. It's exactly the way it goes during a job interview: you're not a resource, it's you the one who needs them, so hiring you it's just a favour they are doing to you. While it's ***** the other way around. That is why our country is all messed up, and young people run away from there. Meritocracy or not, the thing is that everybody is so full of oneself, that, even if he doesn't count anything, he can't see anything good besides oneself.
Italy is working so upside down that employers make you feel grateful because they offered you a not-paid internship!!! The problem is that until you don't go abroad and you see how's the rest of the world going, you really feel happy for the free job you got!
So i am still here, in this cold and drunk country. Where people are maybe a bit rough, with no fine tastes in kitchen or clothes, but well, who cares? Here my job is appreciated, but first of all, i don't have to sell my dignity to get one.
