Today I was looking for a present for myself. I wanted something that reminded me of Denmark and Copenhagen. I wanted something stylish and truely Danish. I looked at some Danish artists' logos and I bumped into Rangleklods. A clean, black and white esagon. I love it.

I actually knew this artist already, but I've never dedicated the time he deserved when I was still in Denmark.The following song (but the whole Home EP is awesome) became the soundtrack of my first day at job after the Pukkelpop experience...oh, yes, that deserves another post, right away.

Two big discoveries tonight.

1. Taragana Pyjarama is not really new. I know these young Danish guys quite well. I also saw them live last summer and I think I already posted some of their songs. But this is from their new album and it sounds amazing already.

2. Indian Wells instead is super new. First, they are Italian, and they make fantastic music! it is my perfect mix: just a tiny bit of italian melody with a twist of nordic taste.

Oh my god, Distortion Festival is going to hit Copenhagen in a week and I am going to miss it...

I hope I will be partying in Utrecht instead...and in the meanwhile I keep it up with this...

Today, people demonstrated in 190 cities in the world. Today, only in Rome something went wrong.

Black Blocks, cars burned and barricades. A day for democracy ruined by few violents.

I am sure we know who they are...why are they still around?...Just another Italian mystery.

Once again Italy will hit the world newspapers' headlines. I am so sick of this kind of celebrity.

I did my part in Copenhagen. I was at the sit-in in Rådhuspladsen.

Det Danske valget 2011, the video battle!

- 7 to Danish Elections.

The electoral campaign runs more and more on the net. Besides social media, this year youtube videos were chosen as the favourite attack weapons.

We have the notorius Dansk Folke Parti, with an embarassing video here below. The final slogan says "Clean up the ghetto, vote for this guy".

Here we have the funny parody of the above mentioned video by the leftist party Enhedslisten. The final slogan says "Clean up the Dansk Folke Parti, vote for a better future". Sorry i don't master Danish yet, but I can understand that this guy is talking about the problem of the ghetto, saying that he's a good guy. He goes to school, his brother is an engieneer and unemployment hit "new danes" as well as regular danes.

Banning people like this

Today I read an article about Danish music. The italian "author" is very much bitching about Danish music whithout knowing anything about it. How comes that anyone can write anything? Really...In this case, it is not a question of opinions about Danish music quality...it is simply that this girl is writing on a music magazine without knowing anything about music. This is not acceptable...as it is the fact that one can't comment on the article.

Crystal Stilts @ KB18

I found out about Crystal Stilts in 2009.
I liked them from the beginning, and also this new album did not disappointed me.
Yesterday night i saw them in Kbh, and now i can confirm my respect for this band. Good vibes and tidy execution! They made me cheerful and they were even able to make my tired legs keeping the rhythm.

Bravo Bravo.

TrailerPark Festival dag 1

Quick quick 'cause I am dead..

I've already talked about "just a number" that now are Battlekat.
I saw them today at the TrailerPark and I enjoyed the show very much.
This song is 100% scandinavian electro-pop.



Tomorrow i'll be voluteering for god knows how many hours and the day after i'll be standing on my feet again at work. So i want to have a good sleep, even if i could have seen Yacht tonight. They were scheduled at 2.


Ah, also Walls was pretty good.

TRAILERPARK FESTIVAL

Roskilde 2011

Copenhagen has been hit by a tropical storm. There's a river flowing under my window.
I think of Roskilde Festival, and, thanks to thunders and rain i am not dying of envy...




I remember last year at La Route du Rock...Me and my fjallravn: 1 sweater, 1 jeans, 1 towel and 1 pair of shows...me in a very punk version. The end of the story was spending three days with black rubbish bag all over me.
