Rangleklods

Today I was looking for a present for myself. I wanted something that reminded me of Denmark and Copenhagen. I wanted something stylish and truely Danish. I looked at some Danish artists' logos and I bumped into Rangleklods. A clean, black and white esagon. I love it.

I actually knew this artist already, but I've never dedicated the time he deserved when I was still in Denmark.The following song (but the whole Home EP is awesome) became the soundtrack of my first day at job after the Pukkelpop experience...oh, yes, that deserves another post, right away.

Sand, Sea, Moon and remixes at worldwide festival

A friend just posted a short video about the worldwidefestival in Sète (southern France).

The video shows people dancing on the beach with a shy sun coming up from the sea...amazing location with a perfect soundtrack.

Using Shazam it was easy to find out what the song was...

I hope you have the sea close to you and a bunch of friends to dance this song with. 

Blur are back: is it 2012 or 1995?

Once my brother came back from a  study trip in England with a cassette.

It was 1995. He was 16, I was 9. It was "Parklife" and right after "The great escape" came.

Hard not to find that old sound in the new single from Blur.

Anti-SEO band names

Today I go crazy with Bad Panda Records.

I've been spending the morning listening to sooo good new music.

However, I noticed that all the bands I stumbled upon today have way too common or simple names, so finding them in google is quite a hard job.

Just to name a few...

Ghosts (thousands of very similar names. There is also a band called Ghosts from London, but I was looking for Ghosts from Dublin)

Lasers (way too easy. No comment)

Indians Wells (you get lost in a jungle of tennis-related stuff)

I love Electronica

Two big discoveries tonight.

1. Taragana Pyjarama is not really new. I know these young Danish guys quite well. I also saw them live last summer and I think I already posted some of their songs. But this is from their new album and it sounds amazing already.

2. Indian Wells instead is super new. First, they are Italian, and they make fantastic music! it is my perfect mix: just a tiny bit of italian melody with a twist of nordic taste.

How did that happen?

Beach House is one of my favourite bands of the last couple of years. However, I totally snobbed their last work until now. I listened to the first single Myth a couple of months ago, but maybe I wasn't focus enough to understand that, one more time, they wrote an amazing track.

Last friday I accidentally talked about Raptile Youth with a friend, and the day after I was to a private party with one of the guy of the band...

I saw their crazy show last summer at Trailer Park in Copenhagen and it was pretty powerful. They didn't release anything yet, but the concerts are already promising!
