Double post
One is a serious and lovely sound from Moths
The other one is an extreme Italian gay who sings about extreme sex in a very funny way. I found out him today. Absolutely blasphemous, he worths at least half post!

Who knows why this Christmas time is bringing me back to a kind of music I abandoned sometime ago
Rock it, jump it, dance it, love it.

I am still a punk-rock kid
Saturday night I was invited to an 80's party.
I don't know that much about the eighthies, besides some trash songs and other good synth/new wave stuff. I mean, there are a lot of songs I've heard before, but I have no idea about the author nor the title. That night, at some point, I got hooked on a song, but I forgot to ask the dj about the band. The song kept tickling my mind for days. I tried everything on internet, but I had no lyrics, no nothing! So I recorded my voice singing the refrain and I asked my followers on twitter and....tataaa...in 5 minutes a Danish guy, who has a music blog, answered me! The song was 99 luftbaloons by Nena. They are German, so that's probably why I couldn't come up with any word of the lyrics. Anyway, since the half-an-hour we danced the Ramones, I realized how I still enjoy dancing some healthy punk-rock. How fun it is and how it makes me feel a teeneger, maybe...:)
For this reason, I propose a punk-rock cover of my song of the day by an unknown italian band...
It is just too easy to do a punk-rock remake of it...
JUMP JUMP!
But the original is the original... If only it would have been a little bit faster....:P

Soundtrack Vinter 2011 København
It has been a while since I posted the last soundtrack.
So, here it comes. During the last period I had a bit of a problem in finding out new music that hooked me, but let me think about it, and I will come up with a short resumé.
Lose it- Austra- absolutely the song to run my bike in the windy weather
Don't move - Phantogram - I use this to go to Danish class
I am God - Clams Casino - This one is just a loop. It makes me crazy when I listen to it with headphones :)
Ikopol - Dauwd
Shimmer - Dauwd
Caffeine - Slime
LifeBlood - Halls
I am very much into this English wave of electronic/nostalgic/sweet sound right now...(sorry I can't really define it) But try these guys.

Radiohead Italian tour 2012
It's true! They are coming next summer.
I got the task to buy tickets tomorrow morning, when they will be opening the selling.
The X hour is klokken 11 I expect the website to collapse...will I be fast enough to get three tickets for the Bologna show?
In the meanwhile here's the Jamie XX's remix of Radiohead's track Bloom.

Apparat
I've been listening to the new Apparat for a while. It is a good album, even if it is not a masterpiece, and he did something much more emotional, sometimes even breathless. Maybe he does his best in front of the dancefloor rather than on the stage...
Here's is Fractales pt.1 from 2009, I think.

Dauwd
Mandag morgen, vi brug for noget ny god musik.
I've probably already mentioned the NewNoise podcast that I constantly check, in order to get some new music inspiration. Well, listening to this week edition, I stumbled upon a new amazing sound.
Dauwd. The EP is to be released soon, but some blowing mind tracks are on streaming.
Pure love.

LastFm discovery
LastFm is a very useful social network, nørd enough to be still only used by the music freaks' niche.
Yesterday, a guy from San Francisco posted a video on my wall and, suprisingly, I found it very good. It is the Vondelpark/Slime style that I really like this period. Apparently he lives in Copenhagen.

Ahi ahi ahi
Pre-friday night in København.
I listen to the new by Dente, who's an italian songwriter.
His music is very much the kind of Italian melodic songs, the new Lucio Battisti someone says...det ved jeg ikke, måske...but more ironic. Dente came out when I was already abroad, so I really don't have any memory connected to his music. However, probably it is because of his italian-ness that tonight I am a bit nostalgic and I would even dare to experience a calm, alcool free, (or almost) italian friday night.
But, it's not time yet.

New Phantogram
Two years ago, i had a crush on Phantogram...actually their first single mouthful of diamonts was a loop for the entire winter 2009-2010.
Here's is their new song, waiting for the EP's release on November the 1st!

#15Oct
Today, people demonstrated in 190 cities in the world. Today, only in Rome something went wrong.
Black Blocks, cars burned and barricades. A day for democracy ruined by few violents.
I am sure we know who they are...why are they still around?...Just another Italian mystery.
Once again Italy will hit the world newspapers' headlines. I am so sick of this kind of celebrity.
I did my part in Copenhagen. I was at the sit-in in Rådhuspladsen. Monday, 10 October 2011
Copenhagen BabelBlog, MODE ON!

LCD soundsystem
I knew them, but I've never been into their music that much. I didn't even like their last single Drunk Girl. Then, a friend of mine posted a video of her holiday with this song as background music.
So, here you go, it is from 2008, but still it would make me dance as crazy.

Det Danske valget 2011, the video battle!
- 7 to Danish Elections.
The electoral campaign runs more and more on the net. Besides social media, this year youtube videos were chosen as the favourite attack weapons.
We have the notorius Dansk Folke Parti, with an embarassing video here below. The final slogan says "Clean up the ghetto, vote for this guy".
Here we have the funny parody of the above mentioned video by the leftist party Enhedslisten. The final slogan says "Clean up the Dansk Folke Parti, vote for a better future". Sorry i don't master Danish yet, but I can understand that this guy is talking about the problem of the ghetto, saying that he's a good guy. He goes to school, his brother is an engieneer and unemployment hit "new danes" as well as regular danes.

I grew up bread and britpop
Blur is my brother's favourite band.
In 1995, he found out about the Great Escape, and so did I. I was 9.
I am not in love with Blur as my brother is, but I like them. There are some pearls in their repertoire.
Like this one.
And then, well, Damon...:)

CaféBabel Ackademy
Back from Croatia in the rainy Copenhagen.
Very interesting weekend debating with Europeans and wannabe journalists.
Touching the soul of the Balkans, opening the way to a new understanding of our continent.
